Little Bolts ball hockey is more than just learning a game. More than running, passing, and stick-handling, hockey is about responsibility, respect, and teamwork. As children learn the skills needed to succeed on the rink, they also build and solidify important character traits needed to succeed in life. With that in mind, the Little Bolts Ball Hockey initiative was developed by the Tampa Bay Lightning to offer more families a chance to experience everything that makes youth hockey so rewarding.
Developed with the help of Lightning Alumni, the Little Bolts ball hockey initiative aims to be the gold standard for youth ball hockey programs to inspire more families to join the hockey community. Little Bolts ball hockey changes the way youth hockey is offered by providing first-time participants with their first hockey stick and ball as well as weekly sessions of age-appropriate instruction in a fun and safe atmosphere. This is a budget-friendly program that gives the participant a chance to try the sport of hockey.
The league runs for 8 weeks and starts on Saturday, May 31st. This program is for children just learning the sport of hockey, ages 3-5 years old! If your child is advanced for their age, please sign-up for our 7U league.
